Christmas Wreath

Hi Peeps, hope you are all feeling fine, big hugs to those not 100%.  We have had a few  beautiful days here and it has been great getting out in the sun to get some rays before it all goes downhill.  There you go doom and gloom again.  Hubby has a cold and is threatening to pass it on so I am avoiding him like the plague.

My card today took a bit of cutting out as I wanted a few layers for effect.  I am glad I had the Ebosser to do the manual labour but I often feel redundant waiting for the plates to go through.  There is not enough time to start something else before you have to remove the dies.  Luckily this card came out fairly easily and I was able to got on with the task.  Better show the end result then.

8 x 8 Gold Card it is pearlised in real life not showing up in photo
Mixture of shades of green card from stash
Cricut Mini Teresa Collins Christmas Cartridge for Merry Christmas sentiment and Bird on a Branch
Die'sire Ivy Die from Crafter's Companion
Tassel and Gems from stash

It took  while to organise the Ivy strands as there are two dies, one smaller than the other and I used different shades of green to make it more interesting.  I think I should have made the bird more like a Robin by colouring it a bit but I tend to think of these things after the event.  The corner sections are the smaller Ivy strand trimmed down.  I think it turned out OK, am now waiting on your verdict.  Be gentle, please.

OK that's it for tonight, three nights posting and the middle night you got 2 for 1 or BOGOF as I said, I am spoiling you, I have to go and lie down now exhausted.

Take care out there.

Still having to comment on the I pad, but getting a little more used to it now.
I don't think I have used my iPad so much for commenting before, and I have had it for 3 years.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L .

  10. Good morning Wilma,
Great to see you have your Mojo back up and running at a great pace....
Love this beautiful card, lots of work but well worth the effort. All your hard work gives so much depth to the wreath.

I know what you mean about the eBosser it seems to take ages but Oh! My! it saves so much turning of that handle. I would not be able to do much just now if it was not for my eBosser. My wrist is still playing up. The worst position for pain is holding onto either the Cuttlebug or GC
I have just finished cutting out some of the Heartfelt Creation Die for boxes ... you need 4 cuts for each box. Could kick myself I have been STUPID, placed the Die upside down and cut through my Magnetic Sheet....DOH!!!!
    Have a Great Day
    Hugs

This is a lovely wreath but I have to agree with you, I think I little robin in the middle will just add to the Christmassie feel.

  17. Wilma, I thought I had left a comment on this beautiful card but no, iPad was playing up, the other day, letters sticking etc. so maybe I gave up trying to comment.
I love the way you have done the wreath.

Not going to a be a nice day here I think with wind and rain having been terrible over night, the Air Show will be a bit of a damp one for all those attending.

    Take care. Hazel xx

  18. This is a wonderful wreath Wilma. I love all the texture the layers bring and the cute bird in the centre really finishes it off.
