Another Card for Fraser

Hooray the snow is gone but we have strong northerly winds which is making it feel really cold.  I feel more cold now than when we had the snow. How I hate our weather I want/need some sunshine.  We did have a short show of the sun a couple of times this week but it never lasted.  Oh shut up Wilma all you do these days is talk about the weather, note to self you are in Scotland what more do you expect.

Right moan over, I hope all you lovely bloggers are well and creating some beautiful cards/projects.  The lovely jewel box renovated by Christina at http://flowersribbonsandpearls.blogspot.co.uk/ is marvellous, she has turned and old box into a work of art, how I wish I had the imagination and knowhow to to what she has done.  There are loads of examples of gorgeous work out there and I have spent an awful lot of time browsing instead of crafting.

This is my second card for Fraser, it is for my mother to give to him.  I made one the other day and when my hubby saw it he said it is crooked.  I looked and yep he was right but I was quite proud of what I had done but you cannot give wonky cards out.  So it was back to the drawing board and number two was produced.  I did not like it as much as the wonky one even though I used practically all the same materials I just could not get the same look.  Anyway enough of me here is the card

Ingredients
8x8 card
Papers and card from my stash
Image LOTV die cut
Sentiment LOTV stamp
Spellbinder border die
Tim Holtz Distressed Ink
Pearls from stash

I just adore LOTV images that I am now going to invest in some stamps and colour them myself.  Will have to purchase more Promarkers to build up my collection but am feeling quite adventurous now I have tried colouring in some digi images I downloaded as freebies.  I have watched a few tutorials on colouring images and have them as reference if required.. Jak Heath www.jakheath.com
has a great tutorial on Promark Knowhow which I have found really helpful.

Not a lot happening in my life just now so I will close now and get ready for bed after I have tidied up my craft area.  I have been cutting out some dies for some cards I want to start tomorrow and the bits are all over the floor.  Some dies can be really messy not matter how careful your are at removing the card/paper.

Take care ladies and wrap up warm.

Sorry forgot to welcome my new follower Sue, great to have you onboard.

  6. This is lovely Wilma I love LOTV images as you know and this one is brilliant for big and little boys. I'm still very new at colouring but I love it once you get the bug there's nothing you can take to get rid of it I'm afraid

  7. This is gorgeous Wilma. I wouldn't worry too much about a little wonkiness (unless it was miles out LOL!). After all, it's handmade and most people just love to receive hand made cards and probably wouldn't even notice!! We are having really wild and windy wet cold days too. I dread going out to stock up the bird feeders - I nearly got blown away this morning. The coconut obviously did because it's nowhere to be seen. Roll on spring! Christine x

  8. Hi me again. Following on from the comment Patricia made - I cannot access your blog from a comment. I always go from my blog list. But I cannot access your complete profile either. Have you changed to Google + (not that I know the difference) but your profile says Google + and that you haven't shared anything and we need to be "In your circles".

  9. Wilma - this card is absolutely brilliant and my grandson would love it - just fabulous for a little boy. Thank you for your kind comment on my card. The fishtails are the Fishtail Flags Stax (not the layer stax) and I got them from www.diestodiefor.com
I wanted to send you the message about the dies but there was no e-mail address on your blog only the google+ circles. I have google+ circles but do not have a clue how to use it but I will add your name anyway.

  11. Hi Wilma,
super card and image. So apt for a 4 year old too. I never noticed anything wrong with last card. It looked fine to me.
I have just popped over to the other blog and book marked the page for later.
I find it very hard when writing up my post to think of what to say on there to interest peeps. Some people have a great way words don't they, but I sadly am lacking in that department. So don't worry about mentioning the weather or having a moan, I think you do a wonderful job and your blog always interests me and enjoy reading all you have to say.
Sorry about the war and peace comment.
    Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
