Mum's 86th Birthday Card
Well ladies a bit overcast this morning. Housework done, only got to groom the dogs before their haircut tomorrow morning, I like to get all the tugs out before they go (is tugs a Scottish expression I meant any matted bits).
This is a card I made for my mother's 86th birthday, she does not like old fuddy duddy things (her words) so I thought this would suit her. She loved it.
Ingredients for this recipe are:
Scalloped 8x8 card
pink card for matting from my card box
Spellbinders Floral Oval Die
Papermania 'MUM' stamp
Spellbinder Floral Tags for small sentiment
Spellbinders Daisy Flower Topper , inner petals inked with various Tim Holzt Distressed Inks
Spellbinders Foligae Die
Glitter. gems and sentiment from stash
That's it then ladies I eagerly await your comments good or bad.
Wilma x x

Fantastic card. Good on your Mum not wanting "Fuddy Duddy" - such a marvellous attitude. No wonder she liked it - the daisies give it a very "young" look - if you know what I mean. Love it. You talk about tugs - we call them tats.
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Wilma,
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised your mum loved her card it is stunning.
Who wants to be "Fuddy Duddy" good for your mum, life is too short for that.
I have these dies but have not used them in ages, must go and get them out.
Happy Crafting
Patricia xx

ReplyDeleteHi Wilma,
ReplyDeletewell another fantastic card. Soooooo pretty. The colours are fabulous. If it's your Mums Birthday shortly may I wish her a very Happy Birthday. My Dad is 93 on the 13th of this month. He lives in South Wales, about 208 miles away from me.
By the way love the fish.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Jenny, becoming a blogger has taken up a lot of time, playing, trying to set up a nice design and finding new things to play with, hence the fish. You can feed them if you want anywhere in the box which you would see if I had not made it white, at least the food is black. Just loving being a blogger but will have to get my finger out and do some more cards to display. Thanks for all your comments Jenny much appreciated.
DeleteTake Care
