I don't know if it's the clocks going back or the weather but I cannot drum up any enthusiasm for anything these days, feel tired all the time. Maybe I am coming down with something will have to wait and see or am I suffering from SAD?
Hope all you ladies are keeping well, I so love to read your comments and see all the cards you post. I have been introduced to many other sites through reading your blogs and found digi images, never heard of them before now I can't get enough and free downloads of papers, etc. Never had so many papers. I must have been a dinosaur or head in the sand as my world has been opened up, so much so that my hubby is complaining that I am never off the IPad or PC, saying "I much have that, or "never knew you could do that" etc. So I must say thank you very much for opening up my horizons.
Now for the card
Ingredients
8 x 8 white card
Forever Friends New Arrival 12" x 12" paper pad
Heartwarmers Die cut Topper
Pink Ribbon, gems and other sentiments from stash
Well fellow bloggers your comments will be eagerly awaited and hopefully I can get back to making more cards to keep up with the excellent cards being produced by you all.
Take care, and wrap up warn.

Hi Wilma,
ReplyDeleteLovely card, so cute, believe it or not, I don't think I have made a baby card yet! No-one is in a rush to have kids in our family. I thought when your post popped up it was the advent calenders, how are they going, nearly finished, I bet you sigh with relief when you stick the final piece. Love to see them all.
As for the Holiday tree die, I slap it well with my anti-static bag and use wax paper and it comes out really well, I bought waxed paper, not greaseproof, from a cake decorating shop, hope that helps.
Have a good day tomorrow.

Oh Michelle you are a hard taskmaster, I was going stir crazy with the Advent Frames and have taken a few days off. I have only to place the numbers on the boxes to do and as the first one is not due out till next week I have a few days to complete them. Thanks for the tip on holiday tree die, I have got some wax paper now and it works well.

Lovely baby card Wilma. That image is really sweet and the DP is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced I like digi images. I do use them but I'm never convinced till I print them that I've got the size right! I'm a bit into dies at the moment and simplish cards. Well apart from the Halloween ones!

Hi Wilma, lovely card tonight, I know what you mean about learning new things from other bloggers, me too, and the inspiration is so valuable. hope your not coming down with something, take care of yourself, kate x
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Wilma,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love the subtle tones you have used.
I suffer from SAD, I take Vitamin "D" it is not a drug, just a supplement. Goodness knows what I would do without it during the dark winter months. Actually I have not stopped taking it all this year as we have had no "SUN" and it is the "Sunshine" vitamin.
Rub your Die with a tumble dryer sheet then also use greaseproof paper or waxed paper (if you can get it)
Have a Great Day

Another baby girl! I used this same Resplendant Rectangles die on my baby card yesterday too. Snap! This is really lovely! I agree with Patricia - Vitamin D is ideal if you suffer from SAD. Another option - maybe expensive - is to have a light box. This apparently is excellent. But I've also heard that daylight bulbs to replace your light bulbs work well too. I'm not a sufferer fortunately. Have a good day! love from Christine x PS You could always spend the winters somewhere warm and sunny!!!! Oh what a lovely thought.
ReplyDeleteHi Wilma,
ReplyDeletewonderful baby card such a pretty design. Love the papers used. Now to the dies, if you use Tesco baking parchment it works fabulous compared to others, that's if you have a Tesco near where you live, and it's cheap. I had a similar trouble with the Venetian Dies they are so fine, but this worked really well. It is dark beige or light brown in colour. I hope this helps. Hope you are feeling better. Sounds like good advice from Patricia.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
This is a lovely card Wilma love your papers
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the clocks affect a lot of us until we get use to the time change you'll be fine :)

Beautiful card Wilma. Love the backing paper.
ReplyDeleteGrogeous card! Love the papers and design. I spotted you on another blog and your name jumped out at me, me being a fellow Fifer! Although a Fifer through and through, i have been living in sunnier climates (the desert!) for 2.5 years now. lol. How is the weather in Fife? I was there for 2 months in the summer and although i miss the rain now and then (we dont get it here), by the time i came back here after the summer, i had seen enough to last me until my next trip home. :D Im your newest follower! Hugs, Jill x
ReplyDeleteHi Jill, well as far as weather is concerned you can have some, rain, as long as you send some sun back here. I am in Crossgates, near Dunfermline, and it has been pouring down all morning. I think webbed feet will be the in thing soon. I wii go now and have a peek at your blog and thank you for being my newest follower. When I started to blog I would never have believed I would have so many followers.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunshine. :(
