Twins Birthday

How I just love reading all the comments on my blog and then to browse around seeing all the gorgeous cards posted by you lovely ladies. Boy there is some wonderful creations out there.  There is so much I want to try but finding the time is the biggest drawback, but I will get there eventually.

Just back from walking the dogs, last one then bed for them, and boy is it cold out there, just starting to rain too.  I don't mind walking them but I hate the rain, icy cold is OK but rain I hate it and so do they. They are good though as soon as they come in I have their towels laid out and they lie down waiting to get dried, quick biscuit and right to bed. It's like having kids again.

My card tonight is one my sister asked for, she has twin grandchildren, Heidi and Ross, who are two, adorable kids and I found LOTV have two die cuts which are them to a tee,  Heidi loves to dance and Ross loves being a cowboy. So here it is.

Ingredients

White Card from stock cut into easel style
Gingham Paper - Forever Friends New Arrival 12" x 12" paper pad
LOTV Die Cut Images
Spellbinders Labels One
Sentiment produce on PC
Embellishments,  pearls, corners and names from stash

I felt I could have added more to it but my sister loved it as it was, not too fussy were her words. Sorry the photograph is poor but trying to get the light right and not get glare from flash is quite difficult these days. but I hope you can see enough to make a comment.

Well ladies bedtime calls as usual I eagerly await you comments good or bad, everyone is is read and digested.

Have a good Monday.

  1. Wilma, these two cards are so sweet and just perfect for two little ones. I haven't been out the door today, full of the cold and just so tired from working six days. Like you I hate walking the dog in the rain it's no fun. Have a good day tomorrow Hazel

  3. Hi Wilma, yes I remember well having to walk my wee dog in the rain, snow, all elements and neither of us liked it. That was all a long time ago in Musselburgh believe it or not.

Anyway your cards are lovely, I love these images, I've got the cowboy but not used it yet. Heidi and Ross will love them. like you there are so many things I would like to try but work keeps getting in the way, how I envy my hubby, retired over a year now and loves it, never sits still, always doing something nice and I'm always working. Oh well thats life. Take care, Kate x

  5. Great card Wilma. Love those cute images. LOTV have lovely images for children's cards. My granddaughter loves her ballet, she goes every week. I need to get a card made for her birthday this Friday. She'll be 5 already and her brother was 3 on the 9th. He got a dinosaur card but I'm not sure what Poppy's going to get. Best check what I made last year!

Hubby's away out with the dogs just now. It's a nightmare trying to dry two big daft Labradors. Neither can stay at peace and someone always tries to lick you when you're drying his brother. Yuk!!

  7. Two lovely cards Wilma I think they are fine just the way they are, sometimes we can add too much to our cards (that's what I feel sometimes about mine anyway )

  9. Great cards Wilma. I love the pastel ginham, and the cowboy in particular is super.I still have quite a few LOTV diecuts which I use. They really speed up a project when you don't have time to colour. Love from Christine xx

  11. Hi Wilma,
such a wonderfully beautiful card. The images are so cute. Love all the gingham paper. So fresh looking.
Your photo looks fine to me, but I never use a flash on my camera. I always use A3 white card to give it light form the bottom and behind, and an over head light that I use to card make. This I find works quite well.
    Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
